GAN London offers individual and group supervision so that clinicians can reflect on their practice and also develop their skills.
We facilitate reflective practice groups to help people understand the impact of their work on themselves and each other.
We also offer team and organisational consultancy. An external eye can often refresh difficult dynamics.
The Group Analytic Supervision Network (TGASN) was established in 1996 by senior group analysts who recognised the lack of resources for practitioners. Particularly in support and supervision post qualification–both within London and outside.
Our members come from varied backgrounds with different levels of experience: small group analytic groups, staff groups, individual and couple work or their own supervision practice. This creates a robust library of expertise from which all our members contribute and have access to.
As a network we are focused on clinical work. Some of our members work within private practice, others are a part of the NHS, or both. Some are newly qualified and miss the structure of training, and others are very experienced. All are qualified and excited about the healing nature of group therapy.
Each group is made up of 4 members plus a supervisor. These groups meet fortnightly via on-line video call with a total of 20 sessions per year each 1.25 hours.
In addition to the small group meetings the entire network also meets 3 times a year. These days are an essential part of the work that we do. It is an opportunity to hear from others about group analysis across the country and link up with those who work nearby or do similar work.
All Group Analytic Supervision Network staff are Senior Group Analysts and Supervisors with experience of working in the NHS, statutory and voluntary organisations and in private practice.
